The USA has, from time immemorial, supported and armed its future enemies. An obvious example of this is the CIA support of the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan during the Soviet occupation. The USA is now paying a price, along with everybody else, for this support. It is almost if the USA believes the old Arab proverb that “My enemy’s enemy is my friend!”
Whilst the USA’s policy toward North Korea and even Iran do not seem unreasonable it is a nation that singularly lacks insight into anything but the immediate future. Evidence for this ranges for its support of the Soviets during WWII to its ambivalent attitude towards the Middle East and Islam. The USA has consistently confused itself between idealist concepts of freedom and human rights and the grubby business of attempting to quash all opposition. At the end of the day it would seem that the power of the almighty dollars rules the U.S. and much of the rest of the world. It is only a matter of time before climate change causes endless catastrophe and before loonie Islamists get hold of nuclear weapons. What can we ordinary folk do about all this? Unfortunately, apart from trying to educate humanity, it is very little. Be afraid, very afraid! If the USA is bad it is likely that the new, all powerful, China will be worse if not quite as stupid.

This is through wordpress.com I paid a few dollars for the domain name and about $120 a year for hosting. If you want to a free site they can do that also but you don’t have your own domain name and there are ads etc.
