Embarrassed to be an Australian because of Australia’s stupidly criminal federal government


In the last week the morons that rule Oz have reached a new low. Firstly, the minister for the non-environment, Greg Hunt, approved the world’s largest coal mine and coal port on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef. This stupid proposal has the full support of the equally stupidly criminal Queensland state government. The approved development will see a dodgy Indian company with a bad track record implement the construction. 2000 temporary jobs will be created and those jobs will be filled by Indian workers on 457 visas as they will be paid less than Australian workers.

This environmental vandalism will put at risk the Barrier Reef tourist industry that supports 70,000 full time permanent jobs and generates a huge amount of tourist dollars.

Secondly, Immigration officers under the authority of the morons that rule Oz, confiscated the epilepsy medicine of a 3 year old girl, despite the fact that her parents possessed the correct documentation for the medicine. The girl and her parents were under detention for having committed the heinous crime of arriving illegally by boat. The girl’s health has been put at risk and I believe she already has had several seizures.

The morons that rule Oz were only elected because of the media circus about the previous government’s leadership. This media circus was vigorously promoted by the Murdoch press and their cohorts. It is small wonder that the present rulers of Oz wish to promote education only for the elite. If mass education had already gained a significant foothold here those morons would never have been elected. These morons relied on simple and simplistic slogans to appeal to the prejudice and stupidity of millions of voters. Mind you, it would appear that Oz’s current rulers would like to kill off democracy altogether.

They can probably get away with it because the residents of Oz will never perform mass civil disobedience in huge numbers for any length of time – that is, unless the government closed the pubs and all liquor outlets. Then we would see a revolution.

Beyond Good and Evil


The essential problem of humanity is that basically we only care about ourselves and ours. What appears to be good for us, our families and our tribes we call good. What appears to be bad for the same we label as bad. Greed, stupidity and most of the ills that befall our world that are caused by our species come down to the simple fact that most of us are trapped in our own egos and identities. We fail to see the big picture; our individual selves are just little tiny cogs in a much bigger environment. We must think outside of this little selfish square.

As the fighters belonging to the group ISIS (so extreme and brutal that even Al Quaeda have distanced themselves from it) advance on Baghdad Iraq looks to be on the verge of a sectarian civil war. The Iraqi government has favoured the majority Shi-ites so much that many Sunnis are prepared to join with ISIS.

What to do about this disastrous situation is a minefield of “damned if you do and damned if you don’t.” It is now obvious to everyone, as it was to thinking people at the time, that Saddam Hussein should never have been removed. Although he was a tyrant and ran a regime that was brutal to its opponents he kept the lid on the country, holding the sectarian divide together. Countless more people have been killed since Saddam was removed than ever came to a bad end under his rule. For the ordinary person in Iraq under Saddam a fairly safe and reasonable life was possible. Now the ordinary folk face increasing danger and terror. If Saddam had received a fair trial (which he obviously did not) he could have argued that his fairly unusual view of human rights was necessary to hold the country together. Without the dictator the country has descended into endless cycles of sectarian violence and terror.

Why did the idiot Bush and his friends Blair and Howard insist on invading Iraq? Why didn’t they remove Robert Magabe from Zimbabwe instead? That would have removed an even worse dictator than Saddam and would have been a cheap and quick war of two or three days. The answer is simple. Zimbabwe has no oil and would have not have offered the same opportunities for corrupt profits (Haliburton and the like) from the following rebuilding.

The Unspoken Truth and stark reality

In the pathetic land of Oz the Australian govt. handed down a cruel and stupid budget showing how little our leaders care about anything apart from their own egos. In Oz, the order of respect is as follows: some independents and the Greens are considered to be honest, the Labor party is so-so and the Liberals, with the exception of a few honest individuals, are as crooked as all get-out.

Despite all the broken promises and cruel stupidity the Abbott govt. hasn’t even touched on the biggest question of the future. It is simply going to be impossible to keep ever increasing numbers of very elderly people, the majority of whom have dementia, in nursing homes alive. Forgetting for the moment the miserable quality of their lives, there isn’t the money and resources, or the numbers of young people to act as nurses and carers, to sustain this ridiculous situation much longer. It costs more than twice as much to keep a person with dementia alive as it does to save a critically ill baby. Within six or seven years I predict that euthanasia will go from being illegal in most countries to compulsory for those who are no longer independent or vaguely productive.

It is quite obvious that Oz’s Prime Minister, despite once being a trainee Catholic priest, doesn’t have an ounce of depth or genuine spirituality, unlike the present Pope. However, it is also quite obvious that Abbott, or Budgie Smuggler as he is known, would never have the guts to tackle the question of euthanasia. It is likely that he will stand by the old dogma of the Roman Catholic Church that human life, must be preserved at all costs, even when that life is more akin to vegetable than human.

Nonetheless, more intelligent and logical leaders and forces in the world are probably already working on this problem. It goes without saying, that the world of the near future will make Hitler look like a boy scout. (In a way, albeit a cruel one, that leader did try to prevent some of the disasters that are now swamping the world). I strongly suspect that the global plan for dealing with the problem of the elderly will follow these steps; firstly euthanase  all residents of nursing homes with dementia, secondly get rid of the rest of the residents of nursing homes, thirdly remove all retirees apart from the wealthy and powerful (Gina Rhinehardt will be safe) and lastly the extermination of the long term unemployed.

It is already possible that certain scientists around the world are attempting to develop and produce viruses that will only target the elderly. The Abbott led govt. in Australia will merely make it too expensive for the elderly to receive any medical attention.

The future is scary and horrible but I fear, short of a natural pandemic that wipes out more than half of mankind, it cannot be avoided.

It is now illegal for public servants to criticise the government on social media, even in a private capacity. As the “Oz” govt. attacks the poor and the weak, and the environment, in order to make the rich richer they are also destroying the economy. Their stupid decisions, such as the paid parental leave scheme, will cause a recession if not a depression. What were the voters thinking when they elected these morons?
